"Ferro" was

City Police Department in September of 2000 at the age of nine.

Muskego Wisconsin in 1994, as a dual purpose K9. He was teamed
up with Officer Joel Gudex and actively work in patrol division
until his retirement.
During
Ferro's years of service, he had numerous drug arrests and
felony apprehensions. The most memorable apprehension was when
Ferro held a fleeing burglar from escaping into a residential
neighborhood until officers were able to take him into custody.
With that apprehension, Ferro was awarded a certificate of merit
from the Wisconsin Professional Police Association for
outstanding police performance in the line of duty.
Ferro competed
in the Midwest Police and Fire games held in Milwaukee in 1995,
and was given four medals at the end of the competition. Ferro
place second in obedience, third in obstacle course, third in
officer protection and third place overall.
Throughout
his career, many trainers and other K9 handlers referred to
Ferro as the "terminator" because of his hard biting ability.
Ferro continues to live with Officer Gudex and his family.
